Jessica Hubert has been appointed as the Chair of the NFPA Gaseous Fire Extinguishing Systems Technical Committee. This appointment was made during the December meeting of the NFPA Standards Council. In her new role, Jessica will oversee the development and maintenance of standards related to gaseous fire suppression systems, including NFPA 12 (Carbon Dioxide), NFPA 12A (Halon 1301), and NFPA 2001 (Clean Agent).
Ms. Hubert succeeds Brent Ehmke, who has completed his term as Chair. Her extensive experience includes membership on several other NFPA technical committees, such as Gaseous Fire Extinguishment Systems, Cross Functional Emergency Preparedness and Response, Building Fire and Life Safety Directors, and Electronic Computer Systems. Additionally, she recently concluded her tenure as Chair of NFPA’s Disability Access Review and Advisory Committee (DARAC).
Her leadership is expected to bring valuable insights and continued progress to the standards governing gaseous fire suppression systems.
